Burnet is a perennial meadow plant that naturally grows in damp meadows and along streams. Although some species grow quite tall, they look incredibly light and airy in the garden. From dense clumps of pinnate leaves, branched stems emerge in mid-summer, ending in tiny flower heads shaped like cylinders or small clubs. These flowers, which sway gently in the wind, bring movement and dynamics to perennial flower beds. You can choose from many shades here with us, from dark burgundy through dusty pink to pure white. Burnets are perfectly suited for naturally styled gardens, where they complement ornamental grasses and other summer perennials. They thrive best in sunny locations with sufficient moisture, but they can also handle partial shade. They are long-lived and undemanding plants that reliably attract insects with their flowers. You can also safely use the taller varieties for cutting and create original bouquets from them.
