Kaasjeskruid
Mallow is a low-maintenance native perennial that brings gentleness and a touch of rustic romance to your garden. People valued it highly in the past; in the 16th century, it was even considered a panacea, and its leaves and flowers were commonly added to food. Today, we grow it primarily for its charming flowers and its ability to quickly green up empty spaces.
It thrives best in sunny locations with well-drained and rather poor soil. It is therefore an ideal choice for drier parts of the garden where other plants might suffer. Thanks to its adaptability, it needs almost no special care. It can handle occasional drought and blooms profusely throughout the summer, attracting bees and other beneficial insects to your flower beds.
