Smele

Tufted hairgrass is a low-maintenance grass native to our countryside, where it grows mainly in meadows and forest clearings. In the garden, you will appreciate that its narrow leaves remain green even during winter, adding constant structure to flowerbeds. The base of the plant is always a neat and compact tuft, from which very delicate, thin stems grow during the summer. These carry transparent clouds of tiny flowers that sway gently in the wind. It is a very adaptable plant that can handle even more challenging spots. It grows reliably in dry shade under trees, in heavier compacted soil, and doesn't mind occasional waterlogging.
