Cobaea is a popular annual climber that can create a dense green wall in just one season. It grows very quickly and is perfect for covering pergolas, fences, or wire structures where you need to create shade or privacy.
The greatest decoration of Cobaea are its striking flowers, which resemble bells or cups in shape. Initially, they have an inconspicuous greenish color, but they gradually color into rich violet or creamy white shades. They appear on the plant from late summer until the first frosts and reliably attract pollinators.
To ensure Cobaea blooms profusely in our conditions, it needs to be sown early in the spring and planted in a sunny location protected from the wind. At Loukykvět, we like to plant it by sturdy supports, where it can fully spread and show off its beauty.
