Hoya

Waxflower is an undemanding annual that we have grown to love as excellent filler greenery for bouquets. Its grey-green to blue-silver leaves resemble eucalyptus, and together with tiny purplish tips, they create a pleasant contrast to more prominent flowers. It has had a permanent place in our annual planting plan for several years now.

The plant thrives best in a sunny spot, and growing it from seeds is something even a complete beginner can handle. It grows quite quickly in the flower bed and soon forms lush clumps. At the end of summer, the waxflower readily produces large seeds that like to fall back into the soil. Thanks to this, it easily self-seeds in the garden, and you might be surprised by new plants in unexpected places the following year.
