Delphinium belongs to the most striking spring and summer flowers that reliably capture attention in the garden. Its long, straight stems, densely covered with blossoms, grow to a height of over a meter and create an interesting layer in the flower beds. They fit perfectly into both country-style and modern plantings, and in sunny locations with nutrient-rich, well-drained soil, they will bring you great joy. We grow them mainly for cutting into vases. If you want to use them the same way, we recommend harvesting the flowers before all the buds open, as they tend to fade relatively quickly. To extend the flowering season, it is worth sowing seeds gradually in several batches. You can try the annual varieties directly outdoors as direct sowing, or you can pre-grow seedlings using standard sowing into seed trays.
